Micro ring extensions

The Micro Ring method of extending hair is the most natural and undetectable (when applied professionally) hair extensions technique available on the market today. Micro strands of human extension hair are attached individually to small section of your own hair with micro rings resulting in the most natural looking extensions which look, feel and move just like your own hair.

No glue, bond, chemicals, sewing, braids or weave are used in either the application or removal of micro ring extensions. Making this is the least invasive hair extension method, resulting in little or no damage to your own hair.

Micro rings are small (4mm x 2.5mm) aluminium ring, lined with silicone which are threaded with a wearers own hair and the tip of the extension to be applied. This ring is then gently squeezed with an application tool until the ring collapses and tightens around the hair creating a firm bond. The rings are also coloured to match your own hair, making them virtually undetectable when professionally fitted.

AFTER CARE REGIME:

Aftercare and maintenance

Correct aftercare is vitally important to the successful maintenance of micro ring extensions. Well looked after extensions have many benefits:

Last longer

Fewer extensions fall out

Has less natural shedding

Have less natural matting as your natural hair grows

Easier and quicker to re-tighten

All micro ring extensions are pre-treated and conditioned so that you can treat them as you would your own hair, however; to help your extensions last as long as possible it is advised to have regular maintenance appointments every 6 - 8 weeks as well as the following home aftercare regime:

Shampooing

Use shampoo and conditioner suitable for use on coloured / chemically treated hair.
Use a wide toothed comb or soft bristle brush to comb through conditioner prior to rinsing.
Use leave-in conditioners and hair serums where possible to add extra moisture to your hair.

Styling

When drying, blast your hair off until approximately 90% dry then blow dry smooth over a soft bristle brush.
When using straightening irons use a heat protection spray.
When brushing use a soft bristle brush and be careful around your scalp.

General Care

When sleeping tie your extensions back using a soft bobble, this will prevent your hair tangling which would require excessive brushing.
Do not use elasticised bobbles as these can tug on your hair and loosen your extension prematurely.

The hair extension procedure

The Micro Ring installation and removal system is the most effective and pain free hair extension systems available on the market, this technique is suitable on all types of hair at least 4inc in length and can last up to 6 months with the correct aftercare and re-tightening regime.

During your FREE consultation we will firstly agree on what end result you want, is it length? Thickness? Or both youre looking for. We can also agree on whether you want the extensions to perfectly blend with your existing colour or whether you want to have an effect such as highlights, or sections of subtle or vibrant colour throughout your final style.

The consultation is basically where you get to detail your wish list of what you want for your new style... exciting isnt it? Only when you are happy and settled on a final style, will I make an appointment to complete your extensions. The length of the appointment will really depend on the following:

1. How many extensions will be required to give you the desired effect

2. How thick your existing hair is

3. How you choose to have the style cut after installation

A typical full head of average thickness hair, wanting both length and thickness will need approximately 200 Micro Ring hair extensions and will take roughly 2½ hours to complete.

Having extensions installed is the beginning, however its not what makes your hairstyle look natural or professionally finished. The final stage of cutting and blending is what makes the final style, so beware, not all hair extension technicians are trained hairstylists or offer this as part of their service.
